Welcome. This is the Home page of Hannah Greenaway's website

Hannah Greenaway is a Textile artist who lives and works in West London. She makes sculptures from recycled plastic-bags.Her pieces are portraits of mainly women and children,life-sized busts of clothed figures, and it is the clothing that is the most striking feature of her work. She has always had a fascination with the social, economic and political history of clothing, information acquired from looking at renaissance sculpture and paintings both here in Londons National Gallery and from travelling in Italy. The plastic material she uses, she invented while studying at The Royal College of Art and it still after many years of use is a really exciting ever-changing medium to use as it is influenced by the carrier bags she can collect every day.
